Job Description

Purpose of the role / Functional Context

  • Together with the CP&A head “orchestrates” the delivery of Annual Contract (Sales Target)
  • Ensure we have winning strategies and activation plans by RE across for Gum & Candy or Biscuit category,  based on insight, and cross functionally aligned
  • Manage Revenue Management by efficient/ effective TS investment
  • Provision of 12 months price & promotion plans, combining with other demand driver understanding to assess sufficiency to annual targets
  • Support the 6 month Sales Activities grid, ensuring the right focus and prioritization within the category plan
  • Ensure the sales teams have the clarity, capabilities and tools to execute
  • Voice of customer, Channel and shoppers internally


Knowledge including: education, qualifications and training

  • A degree or diploma preferably in a commercial discipline
  • Deep knowledge of Japanese wholesaler’s and retailer’s business operation is essential
  • Field Sales experience is mandatory
  • Trade marketing experience is desirable
  • Native level of Japanese (writing, reading and speaking), fluent in English (need to communicate regional team)

  • Minimum 3-8 years’ experience in FMCG industry and 1-3 years people management experience
  • Experience working as a customer team leader with Japanese leading retail customers is preferable
  • Minimum 1-3 years’ experience as Sales group manager in FMCG industry (preferred)
