This exciting role is responsible for leading the Chocolate category for Côte d’Or Tablets in France & Benelux (€220 MM Turnover) and for being the Côte d’Or Equity representative in the Area.

Côte D’Or Brand represents one of our biggest & most active powerbrand in Western Europe. It has been an iconic chocolate brand for over 125 years – bringing delicious moments of pure intense pleasure over different generations throughout France, Belgium & Netherlands.


Cote d’Or is one of MEU chocolate strategic priority brand with strong focus since 2016. Brand is entirely locally led and you will be the key instrumental to drive growth of this icon.


This role has a unique blend of managing P&L responsibility, equity and innovation lead across 3 countries. As such, it is a truly rounded marketing and commercial leadership role with strong drive & autonomy.


  • You will provide leadership, team management, motivation and development of your team of 6 persons + interns
  • You will drive business performances across the Area leveraging all marketing mix elements and being the key interface of commercial teams ; and you will monitor the day-to-day financials within the agreed P&L budget.
  • You will define Côte d’Or brand strategy, together with the Marketing Director, and make it come live across Equity, Communication Architecture, Activation, Visual Architecture, Portfolio Strategy and Innovation Funnel
  • You will lead projects to improve Value of the brand


What will make you successful in this role?

  • We believe you need a minimum of 8 years experience in role(s) with confirmed experience in business and people management, as well as proventrack records of strategic ability, inspiring others, results delivery and success managing all aspects of marketing mix.
  • You must be commercially well-rounded retail-wise and financially aware, with strong business acumen and ideally experience in sales as well as strong marketing experience and skills.
  • English fluency and French knowledge are required (Dutch is a plus).
