A short period opportunity in the Manufacturing function, in the capacity of Process Development Engineer – BEA Plant, based in Alexandria – Borg el Arab, Egypt.

The incumbent will be part of a team working on a major project for a defined time period of 12 Months on a contract basis. He/She will be responsible for the implementation of a new technology start-up to support Middle East and Africa business unit. From design to implementation, you and your team will be the technical experts in cross functional teams with direct interactions with marketing, supply chain, engineering, procurement.

Main Responsibilities:

Being part of a team in charge of the start-up of a new line, the employee will be responsible for:

  1. Preparing ingredients and recipes in formulation system.
  2. Organizing and supervising plant trials.
  3. Product/Recipe validation using analytical tools.
  4. Writing reports and defining process and product specifications.
  5. Giving input to process design and process improvement.
  6. Appyling technical know-how to understand and develop product and processes.

  • Chemical Engineering, Food Technology or Food Engineering degree.
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in Product/Process Development within Food industry. Experience in confectionery is a strong advantage.
  • General knowledge of food manufacturing technologies, ingredients and ability to operate the equipment
  • Experience with RD&Q systems such as Specification Management System, Project Management System, Quality Management, Productivity Tracking
  • Fluency in English & Arabic.
  • Proficiency in MS office.
  • Experience of working in a multicultural teams and environment.
  • Team Player; ability to support and lead to achieve common goals.
  • Strong Communication and Presentation skills.
  • Problem solving: Proactive and resourceful in solving problems, offering innovative and practical solutions in dynamic environment.
