Position overview 

 

Maintain efficient quality management systems at the Plant in accordance with MDLZ quality standards and all relevant legal requirements. Ensure high quality of finished goods by managing and coordinating activities of Chemical and Microbiological laboratories.

 

Key responsibilities


Quality Management System

Maintain and upgrade, as needed, a Quality Control Management System (QCMS) as part of the Production Company’s systems to manage product quality and plant safety, security and environment, in accordance with MDLZ guidelines, in a way which ensures continuous improvement against Quality KPI's (e.g., Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), consumer, trade and/or customer complaints).

 

Legal and Corporate Requirements

Ensure Food Safety of all manufactured products by implementing the relevant MDLZ and legal requirements (e.g., Hazard Analytic Critical Control Points (HACCP), QCMS) and by continuous verification of the compliance and effectiveness of installed systems.


People Management

Manage QA Department’s team by setting goals to direct reports and assessing their performance, coach, co-ordinate and monitor regularly their activities.

 

Analysis

Assure Quality by testing all relevant (chemical, physical, microbiological, sensor) properties of established and new raw materials, packaging materials, processes, semi-finished and finished products in accordance with MDLZ Guidelines, ISO and other relevant Standards (e.g.: IFS, GMP+, country specific standards…), HACCP system, relevant legal requirements and internal documents (e.g., MDLZ recipes, MDLZ specifications, etc.) and by continuous improvement of Quality and process in collaboration with Production.

 

Cross-functional Activities

Manage and co-ordinate cross-functional and cross-department activities (especially linking with Section QA Coordinator), knowledge and information exchange in order to ensure consistent approach to all aspects of Quality and food safety down to the line level and compliance to manufacturing specifications. Coach peers in Quality and food safety related subjects.

 

Special Situations

Coordinate with MDLZ and Plant Manager in connection with special situations involving product Quality.

 

Budgeting

Ensure proper planning and monitoring of the department’s budget, support planning of investments and preparation of appropriation requests.


Qualifications

Qualification & Experience:

  • University degree in Chemistry, Microbiology or Food Technology
  • Good knowledge of ISO quality system and QCMS, HACCP standards
  • Good knowledge of the National and EU Food Safety regulations
  • Good understanding of Process, Production, Development and Information systems (preferred)
  • Minimum 4 - 7 years experience in QA and / or Conversion
  • Analytical and/or micro lab experience
  • Leadership experience
  • Fluent in English 
  • Other European Languages (preferred)
