Job Scope

The Director defines and executes the strategy for the Walmart. They are responsible for leading the business to develop Powerful Customer Partnerships in order to deliver the customer Joint Business Plan and Mondelez net revenue targets. This is accomplished through; strategic customer leadership; revenue planning and forecasting; leading the execution of commercial strategies and developing and executing the customer JBP. To be successful in driving full customer stewardship, they must work closely with the cross functional team support Walmart which consists of the following roles; Key Account Managers Account Planning Managers, Channel Planning Manager, Finance Lead, and Supply Chain partners.

Primary Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Develop and drive broad customer relationships across all functions within Walmart, and own Category Director relationship. 
  • Responsible and accountable to lead the Account Managers and cross functional group in order to develop the annual business plan and create and deliver the customer JBP.
  • Accountable to lead the external communication and performance management through KPI score carding and business reviews.
  • Accountable for the revenue plan and forecast including the key inputs into the Integrated Business Planning Building Blocks.
  • Accountable to oversee the Walmart trade process and to ensure a year-end balanced trade position for the team.
  • Lead customer retail activation and target setting with their retail partners which includes setting priorities and communication plan for +50 retail merchandisers.
  • Own and Lead E-commerce relationships with the customer.
  • Provide leadership and coaching to the Walmart Key Account Managers to develop capabilities, set expectations and nurture talent.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Four Year Bachelor’s Degree (MBA or other designation an asset)
  • Excellent strategic leadership skills
  • Ability to lead and inspire others while clearly setting direction
  • Proven track record of delivering results
  • Previous experience leading a key customer cross functional team
  • Minimum 10 year’s prior experience multiple regional and national customer facing roles - Consumer Packaged Goods is preferred
  • Understanding of multiple customers GTM strategies, structure and business practices
  • Cross functional experience in customer planning, customer insights, retail, marketing, and/or supply chain
  • Excellent negotiation and influencing skills
