Job Description

Position Purpose:

-          Demand Planner support Short-term and Medium term demand planning process for the specific Country and 1-2 Categories, delivering a fact-based for the IBP cycle and ultimately for Product supply, to the highest possible accuracy.

-         Responsible for the DP Process maintenance

-         Supports the Customer Service and Order Fill target Service, and minimized supply inefficiency and write-offs

-         Serves as an integration point for all input of forward looking sales demand and supply planning environment.


-          Works cross-functionally with Commercial & Operations within the IBP Process, engaging and influencing cross functional teams to deliver best practice Business Plans

-         Engaging and influencing Commercial functions to provide Market Insights and forecast input driving the IBP Process



-         Provide an accurate base forecast, proper following of the weekly & monthly cycle in alignment with the IBP, to support the Area commercial objectives over the financial planning horizons following the 6 Steps Demand Planning Process:

-          Maintaining the forecasting system accurate & data in line with the Mdlz rules (1/ Data preparation 2/Cleansing segmentation)

-          Run statistical forecast to provide the best base forecast (3/Statistical Forecasting)

-          Support the forecast enrichment with the business and market information. (4/Market Update)

-          Support the revision and validation of the overall consistency of the total forecast, using analysis, report and available data’s (5/Forecast Review)

-          Support the communication of the Total forecast across the organization - Share and aggregate forecast (6/Demand Review and Consolidation)

-         Acts as a Business Partner for Commercial and Operations Functions, responsible to provide the different business stakeholder with a high quality insight-based total forecast (weekly on sku level in APO DP, based on available assumptions through:

-         Support total Forecast generation based on agreed Mondelez Best Practices and Product Segmentation

-         Applying best practices for NPD Forecasting

-         Influences commercial and Business Partners to provide insights and high quality input to forecasts

-         Works closely with Category Planning to receive market insights and drive agreed category actions back into the bottom-up forecast.

-         Responsible to meet the targeted KPIs (SFE, BIAS) for the products in charge, analyzing and providing insights on the deviation drivers (e.g. statistical,cleansing,market up-date), supports the  implementation of accuracy improvement plans through rigorous monthly KPI reviews at category/key pack/sku level and fact based root cause analysis 

-          Contribute to achieve the best possible service level while minimizing Ageing risks through 

-          Support delivery of optimal product Availability in the market through Forecast Quality for the respective products

-          Analyse Weekly Service Review/ Ageing Risk Report and prepare analysis on key service risks

-          Support exceptional mitigation of daily service management in case additional alignment with commercial functions is required

-         Reviews forecast and recommends actions for LDR, SOM, MEU Category Demand Review (CDR), and LINK meetings (as required).

-         Works effectively with the Supply Chain team to ensure forecast changes and assumptions are well understood so that effective long and short-term supply plans can be produced.

-         Know the ethical and legal compliance responsibilities of the position; act ethically and model compliant behavior.
