PURPOSE OF THE ROLE / FUNCTIONAL CONTEXT: 

To contribute to strong financial controllership in the location by making budgets, tracking costs to budget, ensuring timely reporting to all stakeholders and meeting all audit and statutory related compliances.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Financial accounting, reporting & reconciliation
Reconciliation of all financial ledgers and balance sheet accounts
Driving Weekly enhancements
Carrying out proper account reconciliations and data accuracy in BOM
Confirmation on month end provisioning
Monthly inventory audit and reconciliation
Monthly plant closing with FI/ COPA recon and accounting for variances
Ensure accurate & timely release of information for MER
Ensure accurate and timely reporting to all relevant stakeholders

Cost control

Enforcing strong financial controllership at the Plant Level
Analyzing and tracking Factory costs to budget. Recommend in cases of overspend.
Participation in mini Business team reviews and sharing cost/finance related information
Driving for agreed corrective actions from stakeholders
Engage with peers and superiors to inculcate a culture of effective spending.

Asset Management

Ensuring accurate & timely release of Capex status from SAP 
Timely AR capitalization 
Tracking, monitoring and reporting of monthly Capex Variances
Capex Post Evaluations basis company policy
Ensuring idle asset identification and disposal
Ensuring insurance in time of all the risks for the assets of the location and follow-up for recovery of claims from the insurance company
Cash and bank management
Ensuring cash availability for payments
Ensuring entry of cash vouchers in SAP
Reconciliation of cash balance with book balance
Supporting reconciliation of bank transactions
Statutory compliances
Ensuring payments, assessments and returns under various commercial/ tax laws
Ensuring periodic reconciliations of tax balances
Closely working with the HO tax team on response and resolution to tax notices, demands and the pending tax matters for the location
Controls & Audits
Ensure adequate controls environment @ the CMO location
Ensure SOX Compliance across the CMO plant
Anchoring requirements for Internal, Process and statutory audits 
Carry out Internal audits on need basis 
Finance Documentation Management
Ensuring documentation integrity
Management of documentation archives
Retention of timeline compliance for all documentation

Process Change Lead

Co-ordinate with HO process implementation team for migration to new process
Work with cluster finance team for seamless adherence to new set of SAP process
Carry out and close process tests on time in development system
Lead the implementation of new finance process at the CMO location

Other

Qualifications
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

Educational (as specific as possible): 
Good knowledge of financial accounting processes – ICWA/CA/MBA Finance

Experiential (correlated between years, role, seniority and organization): 

Four to five years of experience in accounting and costing processes in a factory environment.

Knowledge, Skills & Competencies (a brief generic framework with relation to competencies):
