Position overview

  • Lead the Dutch Meals business independently in both front and back office.
  • Create and continuously develop the country strategy and align within FRBNL Area.
  • Overall responsible for country results and budget responsible for Meals The Netherlands and secure an excellent daily execution internally and at all customers.
  • Develop the business strategically (both internally and externally) based on analysis and deep understanding of local customer, shopper- and consumer needs.
  • Define local strategy: develop in store execution plans, customer plans for all meals customers (both retail and away from home) in line with the Meals category strategies in order to maximize net revenue, volume and share growth.
  • Build effective team by developing and coaching direct reports (2).
  • Drive business planning process for The Netherlands and develop customer collaboration.
  • Ensure and coordinate an optimal working relationship throughout the whole value chain.
  • Actively align with other countries in the area to manage trade concentration and cross border price differences.
  • Lead trade negotiations within budget through pay for performance principle and optimize trade spending.
  • Actively participate in the local Senior Sales Meetings and the Meals Senior Management Meetings.
  • Develop customer & channel strategies, set up joint business planning to build a customer smart way of working and way of engaging with our customers.
  • Identify opportunities & risks, follow up on results, present corrective actions.


  • University degree 
  • 5 to 7 years professional sales experience in a FMCG company of which minimum 2 years at top 3 customer
  • Experience in negotiation with top 3 customer on headquarter level
  • In depth knowledge of country trade environment and commercial leverages
  • Analytical and synthetically skills/ strategic planning
  • Sound communication skills
  • Fluent in Dutch and English 
  • People management & coaching skills are preferred
