The HR Coordinator is the first point of contact for corporate employees and provides significant administrative support to the HR team in the plant location. This individual maintains the HRIS system and provides administrative support for all corporate HR functions.
The Primary responsibilities of the role include:
Manages the HRIS system for both locations and processes payroll for all employees with a high degree of accuracy.
Pulls reports for HR, Finance, Accounting, leadership, etc.
Maintains existing employees including all position, pay, manager, and department changes.
Properly handles new hires and terminations in the system.
Implements any new elements of the payroll system (possibly including: timekeeping, performance management, applicant tracking).
Provides administrative support for the corporate location and the Human Resources team located in the out-of-state production facility including the following:
Provides administrative support for leave of absence administration and tracking for both locations.
Enrolls, terminates and audits employee coverage in benefits programs such as life, health, and dental insurances, 401(k), and PTO via the online benefits system and vendor websites.
Keeps records of benefit plan participation, personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations, and employee statistics for government reporting.
Prepares, collects and processes all necessary communications and paperwork for Benefits Open Enrollment.
Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation.
Provides administrative support for the corporate employees including the following:
Works with candidates and hiring managers to schedule interviews and provide assistance during the recruitment process.
Conducts new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goals.
Responds to basic inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
Maintains Human Resources page on the company intranet site.
Maintains employee files.
Provides support to the Human Resources Manager on all other Human Resources tasks and initiatives.

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
Demonstrates strong attention to detail
